The objectives of Nepal Remote Sensing and Photogrammetric Society are as follows:
- To promote the remote sensing and photogrammetric technology in all aspects of national development with sincere public participation.
- To organize or participate in the national and international trainings and workshops for creating awareness to the people on remote sensing and photogrammetry.
- To involve or facilitate exhibition in time to time to disseminate new ideas and technologies to people on remote sensing and photogrammetry.
- To play an advisory role in formulating policies and programs, especially related to remote sensing and photogrammetry in collaboration with other related line agencies.
- To work as a consultant in the field of remote sensing and photogrammetry.
- To promote the standard of knowledge on remote sensing and photogrammetry who are studying in colleges and universities.
- To collaborate or/and coordinate with similar national and international line agencies, associations, organizations or societies for the exchange of information, knowledge and technologies on remote sensing in general and photogrammetry in particular.
- To maintain the international standard of its development by organizing all the experts in the field of remote sensing and photogrammetry.
- To conduct research studies for the development on all the areas of remote sensing and photogrammetry.
- To formulate standard norms, pledge and rules and regulation on remote sensing and photogrammetry.
